Why haven’t you marketed online yet?

When working in corporate america, I couldn’t believe how many small business owners had not done anything about increasing their internet presence.  Maybe it was that they were afraid of letting go of the almighty Yellowpages.  Maybe it was because they didn’t know exactly how to market online.  Maybe it was because they didn’t have the time.

How will Google’s Local Business Listing ads affect IYP advertising?

Some big changes have taken place in Google Maps.  Advertisers can now pay a flat fee each month to advertise their business in the Local Business Listings.  But the question that has yet to be seen is, how will this new shift affect online directory advertising, particularly the internet yellow pages?

Pay-per-click marketing benefits for small businesses

As a internet marketing consultant, I’m contantly explaining the benefits of pay-per-click (PPC) marketing to various small businesses.  There tend to be a lot of mixed emotions about wether or not small business owners should pay to get visitors to their website, or if they should try and optimize their websites to get ranked naturally in the search engines.

Small businesses more likely to use the internet than print!

Yes.  I’m going to say it.  I had to post this article when I found it.  Again, coming from corporate america, I heard it every day. I listened to advertisers want to cut out all of their print advertising and move it over to the internet.
